StatsNext Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

Introduction

StatsNext is a sports intelligence platform. It provides player, team and matchup research, player props, sportsbook price comparison, market movement, historical sports data and trends, watchlists, alerts, the Explore tools and StatsNext Intelligence.

StatsNext does not operate a sportsbook and is not a gambling operator or payment processor. It does not accept wagers, hold funds, deposits or balances, or place bets, and it does not guarantee any outcome. Sportsbook prices shown in the app are information, not offers from StatsNext.

This Privacy Policy explains what information StatsNext collects, how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. It applies to the StatsNext mobile apps and to other StatsNext services that link to it.

Information we collect

StatsNext collects only what it needs to run the app. Depending on how you use it, that is account information if you create an account, an installation identifier if you use the app as a guest, the preferences and research activity you create, your notification settings, and limited technical information. Each is described below.

StatsNext does not ask for your phone number, postal address or date of birth, and it does not collect your location, contacts or photos. It does not ask for sportsbook account credentials. StatsNext does not collect payment card details.

Account information

  • Email address: used to create your account and sign in, either with a one-time code sent by our authentication provider or through Sign in with Apple or Google sign-in (described below). There is no password.
  • Identifiers: an internal StatsNext account ID, the identifier of your sign-in record with our authentication provider and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier Apple or Google assigns to your sign-in, kept by our authentication provider.
  • Account details: when your account was created, how you sign in, and your plan status (Free or Pro).
  • Display name: optional. You can add one in Account; it is shown only in your own account screens, never to other users.

Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in: in the iOS app you can sign in with Apple, and in the iOS and Android apps you can sign in with Google. Apple or Google confirms who you are and returns a sign-in token, which our authentication provider verifies before it signs you in. StatsNext uses the email address from that token for your account. With Apple, StatsNext asks only for your email address, not your name; if you choose to hide your email address, Apple gives us a private relay address that forwards to your own. With Google, StatsNext requests no access to your Google account beyond signing in; Google’s token may also include the name and profile picture link on your Google account, which our authentication provider keeps with your sign-in record and StatsNext does not use or display. StatsNext never receives your Apple or Google password. If the email address is the same as on an existing StatsNext account, the sign-in may be linked to that account under our authentication provider’s rules. Apple and Google handle the sign-in under their own terms and privacy policies.

If you sign in with Apple, the app keeps the identifier Apple assigns to your sign-in in your device’s secure storage and checks with Apple, when the app opens or you return to it, that you still use Sign in with Apple for StatsNext. If you have stopped using it in your Apple Account settings, you are signed out.

Signing in creates a session stored in your device’s secure storage, which keeps you signed in until you sign out or the session can no longer be renewed.

If you used StatsNext as a guest before signing in, the watchlist, alerts, saved views, preferences and recent research on your device are added to your account, and research you unlocked as a guest stays open. Watchlist items beyond your plan’s limit are not added and active alerts beyond it are paused; the app tells you when this happens.

If you email us for support, we receive the content of your message and the email address you send it from.

Guest and installation information

You can browse StatsNext without an account; opening Full Research requires a free account. To recognize this installation when it requests research, the app obtains a randomly generated installation ID from our servers. It is not derived from your device or from advertising identifiers. Its secret part stays on your device; our servers store only a one-way hash of it, with when the installation was created and last seen, and, for installations that used earlier versions of the app, which research subjects they unlocked and when. If you later sign in, the installation is linked to your account.

As a guest, your watchlist, alerts, saved views, preferences, recent research and onboarding choices stay on your device and are not sent to us. Recent searches always stay on your device. You can clear this data from Account > Data and sign-out > Clear data on this device.

In the StatsNext web app (statsnext.com/app), what the apps keep on your device is kept in your browser’s storage instead: your sign-in session in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab, and your preferences, onboarding choices, guest data and installation ID in local storage. The StatsNext website and web app do not set cookies, and the web app does not send product analytics or crash reports. Stripe’s checkout and billing pages, which open when you subscribe or manage billing on the website, are operated by Stripe and may use cookies under Stripe’s privacy policy. You can clear browser data in your browser’s settings.

Preferences and research activity

With an account, StatsNext stores the product state you create so it is available on your devices: the sports and leagues you select; the teams, players and competitions you follow; watchlist items; alerts and the conditions you set; saved scanner views; onboarding choices; notification preferences such as channels and quiet hours; and recently viewed research, so you can continue where you left off.

Research usage: when you open full research, StatsNext records the research subject (for example, a player in a specific game, a team or a game) and when, to apply Free plan limits. This record is linked to your account, or to your installation if you use the app as a guest. Apart from these unlock records and, for accounts, recently viewed research, what you browse is not recorded against your account or installation.

Support requests: when you send a request from Help > Contact Support, StatsNext stores the category, subject and message you write, the request’s status and reference number, and limited technical details: your platform, app version and build, operating system version, the screen you sent it from and, for a data report, the league, game, player or market you were viewing. The request is linked to your account ID, or to your installation if you are not signed in; no email address is collected with it. If you are signed in, StatsNext emails the address on your account to confirm the request and when its status changes; guests are not emailed. It never includes passwords, sign-in or notification tokens, device identifiers or payment details. Write only what is needed to describe the issue.

Device and technical information

  • Requests: to answer the app, our servers receive the endpoint requested, your app version and, when you are signed in, your sign-in token. Server logs record each request’s time, endpoint, response status, timing and a request identifier, and errors. Request logs record the endpoint, not who made the request: they contain no email address, account ID or IP address.
  • Network information such as your IP address, which our hosting and network providers process to deliver requests and which StatsNext uses briefly to limit abusive traffic. The StatsNext API does not store IP addresses. When you sign in to an account, our authentication provider records the IP address and device or browser information (user agent) with your sign-in session, for security.
  • Platform and app version are stored only with a push registration (see Notifications) and with a support request you send (see Preferences and research activity).

Crash and error reports: when the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to our crash-reporting provider (Sentry). A report contains the error and where in the app’s code it happened, the app version and build, device and operating system details (such as model, operating system version, memory, locale and time zone), the kind of screen you were on (for example “team page”, never which team), recent app events such as screen changes and failed requests (addresses without their parameters), a sample of performance timings, and a random analytics identifier generated by the app. Before a report leaves your device, the app removes email addresses, sign-in and push tokens, keys and StatsNext record identifiers from it. Reports never include your name, email address, account ID, passwords, payment details, push tokens or what you typed.

Product analytics: the app sends a limited set of usage events to our analytics provider (PostHog) so we can see which features are used and improve them: which major screens you open (for example “Explore” or “team page”, never which team), which research features you open, the sport league and prop market involved, the number of characters in a search and how many results it returned (never the search text), watchlist and alert actions, plan and subscription screens viewed and purchase steps (never payment details), and sign-in method and onboarding steps. Each event carries the same random analytics identifier, plus app version, platform, device type, locale and time zone. Analytics events are not linked to your account, email address or name. The app does not use automatic capture of taps or typing, session recording, heatmaps or location lookup.

Like any internet service, these providers receive the IP address of the connection that sends a report or event. StatsNext does not send them your identity, and deleting your account resets the app’s analytics identifier, so later reports and events cannot be tied to earlier ones.

StatsNext does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Notifications

StatsNext evaluates the alerts you create. For signed-in users, triggered alerts create in-app notifications, stored with your account along with whether they were read and their delivery status.

If you are signed in and notifications are allowed on your device (on some Android versions they are allowed by default), the app registers a device push token, with a random device identifier generated by the app, your platform and app version, so alerts can be delivered to your device when push notifications are enabled.

You can turn notifications off in your device settings, set quiet hours in Account > Notifications, or pause or delete alerts.

Subscriptions and purchases

StatsNext does not collect payment card details or other payment information, and it is not a payment processor. Your plan status (Free or Pro) is stored with your account.

StatsNext Pro is sold as a subscription on the website through Stripe, in the Android app through Google Play Billing and in the iOS app through the Apple App Store. Stripe, Google Play or Apple processes your payment, including your card or other payment method, under its own terms and privacy policy. StatsNext never receives your full card number or other payment-method details.

Purchasing requires a StatsNext account. When you subscribe on Android, the app asks Google Play to attach an obfuscated identifier to the purchase: a one-way hash of your StatsNext account ID, not your email address or name. This lets StatsNext match the purchase to your account. The app then sends the purchase token Google Play issues to our servers, which verify it directly with Google. When you subscribe on iOS, the app asks the App Store to attach your StatsNext account ID (a random internal identifier, not your email address or name) to the purchase, for the same reason. The app then sends the signed transaction the App Store issues to our servers, which check Apple’s signature on it and confirm the subscription’s status directly with Apple.

Website purchases (Stripe): when you subscribe on the website, StatsNext creates a Stripe customer record for your account and sends Stripe your account email address and your StatsNext account ID, so that the subscription is linked to your account. You enter your payment details directly on Stripe’s checkout page. Stripe may collect device and usage information on its checkout and billing pages, including through cookies, to process payments and prevent fraud, under Stripe’s privacy policy. StatsNext stores, linked to your account: your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the plan and billing period, the subscription status, trial and billing-period dates, whether it is set to cancel, whether it is a test or live purchase, and when it was last confirmed with Stripe. Stripe notifies our servers of subscription changes; StatsNext confirms each change with Stripe before updating your plan and keeps a record of each notification (Stripe’s event ID, its type and the subscription it concerns), which is not linked to your account in our records, to avoid processing it twice and for audit.

Android purchases (Google Play): StatsNext stores the subscription information it needs to provide your plan, linked to your account: the purchase token, the product and billing period (monthly or annual), whether you are in a free trial, the subscription status, when the current period ends, whether it renews automatically, whether there is a billing issue, whether it was a test purchase, and when it was last verified and, if applicable, revoked. Google Play also notifies our servers when a subscription renews, is cancelled, enters a grace period, expires, or is refunded or voided. StatsNext checks each notification with Google before updating your plan and keeps a record of it (the store’s notification ID, the purchase it concerns and the resulting status), which is not linked to your account, to avoid processing it twice and for audit.

iOS purchases (App Store): StatsNext stores the subscription information it needs to provide your plan, linked to your account: the App Store’s original transaction ID for the subscription, the product and billing period (monthly or annual), whether you are in a free trial, the subscription status, when the current period ends, whether it renews automatically, whether there is a billing issue, whether it was a test purchase, and when it was last verified and, if applicable, revoked. Apple also notifies our servers when a subscription renews, is cancelled, enters a grace period or billing retry, expires, or is refunded or revoked. StatsNext checks Apple’s signature on each notification and confirms the subscription’s current status with Apple before updating your plan, and keeps a record of it (Apple’s notification ID, the subscription it concerns and the resulting status), which is not linked to your account, to avoid processing it twice and for audit.

StatsNext uses this information to verify purchases, apply your plan, keep it current through renewals, cancellation and expiry, restore your subscription on a new device or after reinstalling (the app sends the purchase tokens Google Play holds, or the signed transactions the App Store holds, for your store account to be verified again), and answer support requests. If you cancel, Pro remains available until the end of the period you have paid for, as reported by Stripe, Google Play or Apple. A refunded, voided or charged-back purchase can end Pro access immediately.

Deleting your StatsNext account deletes the subscription information StatsNext holds linked to it. It tells Stripe to stop a website subscription from renewing, but it does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription; manage or cancel those in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions, or in your Apple Account subscription settings. Stripe keeps its customer and payment records, and Google Play and Apple keep their purchase records, under their own policies and legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting requirements).

StatsNext Intelligence and sports analytics

StatsNext Intelligence produces sports analytics for player props: statistical projections, a fair line, a fair probability, the market’s no-vig probability, the StatsNext Edge, an estimated expected value, a confidence level and the factors behind the estimate. These are computed from sports data, such as player statistics, schedules and sportsbook prices. They are not based on your personal information.

To evaluate and improve its models, StatsNext keeps internal records of model outputs and how they compared with actual results. These records describe sports events, players and markets. They are not a record of your activity and do not contain your bets, because StatsNext does not take or track bets.

Research unlock records are different: they record which research you opened and are linked to your account or installation, as described above.

Model outputs are estimates for research. They are not advice or a recommendation to bet, and they do not guarantee any result.

How we use information

StatsNext uses the information described above to:

  • provide and operate the app and its research features;
  • create and authenticate accounts and keep guest and account state;
  • sync your preferences, watchlists, alerts and saved views across your devices;
  • apply Free and Pro plan limits, such as daily research opens;
  • verify subscription purchases and keep your plan current through renewals, cancellation, expiry, refunds and restores;
  • evaluate your alerts and deliver the notifications you ask for;
  • keep the service reliable, secure and available, including preventing abuse and fraud;
  • answer support requests and investigate reported data issues;
  • troubleshoot problems and improve performance;
  • evaluate and improve StatsNext models and analytics;
  • comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of users, StatsNext and others.

StatsNext does not use your information to show you advertising.

How we share information

StatsNext shares personal information only:

  • with the service providers below, which process it on our behalf to run the service;
  • with Google Play, when you subscribe on Android: the obfuscated account identifier attached to your purchase, and the purchase token our servers send back to Google to verify it;
  • with Apple, when you subscribe on iOS: your StatsNext account ID attached to your purchase, and the transaction identifiers our servers send to Apple to verify it;
  • with Apple, when you delete an account that uses Sign in with Apple in the app: a one-time code from Apple, which our servers send back to Apple to revoke StatsNext’s access to your Apple sign-in;
  • with Stripe, when you subscribe on the website: your email address, StatsNext account ID and subscription details, to process payments and manage your subscription;
  • if required by law or legal process, or to protect rights, safety and the security of the service;
  • as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

StatsNext does not share your personal information with sportsbooks, sports-data providers or advertisers.

Service providers

  • Supabase: account authentication, including issuing sign-in codes, and database hosting.
  • Postmark: delivery of StatsNext emails (sign-in codes and support request updates), processed in the United States. Emails are sent without open or link tracking.
  • Fly.io: hosting for the StatsNext API and background services.
  • Stripe: payments, billing and the Customer Portal for website subscriptions, processed in the United States.
  • Expo: the app platform, including the notification service that issues device push tokens and, where push notifications are enabled, delivers them.
  • Sentry: crash and error reporting, processed in the United States.
  • PostHog: product analytics, processed in the United States.

StatsNext also receives sports data, such as schedules, statistics, injuries and sportsbook prices, from sports-data providers including BALLDONTLIE, and weather forecasts from the U.S. National Weather Service. StatsNext does not send your personal information to these data providers.

Advertising and sale of personal information

StatsNext does not sell your personal information and does not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. StatsNext does not show advertising in the app. If this ever changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and give you any choices the law requires.

Data retention

  • Account information and the product state saved with it are kept while your account exists, and removed when you delete your account.
  • Research unlock records for accounts are kept for a short audit period and then removed. Research unlocks that guest installations recorded under earlier versions of the app are kept with that installation’s record.
  • Subscription information linked to your account is kept while your account exists and deleted with it. Records of store notifications are not linked to your account and are kept for audit.
  • Support requests are kept while needed to answer them and keep a record of the issue. Requests linked to an account, including those sent from an installation before it was linked to the account, are deleted when you delete the account.
  • Server request and error logs are kept for a limited period for operations and security.
  • Crash reports and analytics events are kept by our crash-reporting and analytics providers for a limited period under their retention settings, linked only to the app’s random analytics identifier.
  • Model evaluation records concern sports events, not people, and may be kept to measure model quality over time.
  • We may keep information longer where needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our terms.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app from Account > Data and sign-out > Delete account, or without the app at https://statsnext.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your account and the data saved with it: your email address, display name, watchlist, alerts, saved views, preferences, recently viewed research, notifications, push tokens, support requests, plan record, website subscription records and research unlocks. Your sign-in record with our authentication provider is also deleted. If that step cannot complete right away, it is retried automatically until it does. If you delete an account that uses Sign in with Apple in the app, the app first asks you to confirm with Apple, and StatsNext then asks Apple to revoke StatsNext’s access to your Apple sign-in; you can also stop using Sign in with Apple for StatsNext at any time in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not delete your account.

StatsNext keeps a minimal record that a deletion was requested and completed: an internal identifier and dates, not your email address. This lets us verify the deletion was carried out. If you used StatsNext as a guest before signing in, that installation’s record, and any research unlocks it recorded under earlier versions of the app, are kept but no longer linked to you. Database backups maintained by our hosting provider may contain deleted information until they expire under the provider’s backup schedule, and security logs of sign-in activity kept by our authentication provider may be retained under its log retention.

If you used StatsNext as a guest, your data on the device can be cleared from Account > Data and sign-out > Clear data on this device. Deleting the app also removes it.

Security

StatsNext uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our databases, server-only handling of administrative credentials, and storing only a one-way hash of guest installation secrets. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

StatsNext is intended only for people 18 and older, as required by the StatsNext Terms of Use, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information to StatsNext, contact us and we will delete it.

U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your personal information;
  • obtain a copy of your information in a portable format;
  • opt out of the sale of personal information or its use for targeted advertising (StatsNext does neither);
  • appeal a decision we make about your request, where the law provides that right.

You can delete your account directly in the app. For other requests, use the contact information below. We will verify your request using information associated with your account and respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

International users

StatsNext is operated from the United States. Information is processed and stored in the United States by StatsNext and its service providers. If you use StatsNext from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as StatsNext changes. We will post the updated policy in the app with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice, such as in the app, before it takes effect.
