What statistics matter most at PGA Championship?

Quail Hollow Club has too little strokes-gained history to rank the categories (2 editions with strokes gained). Tour-wide, approach accounts for the largest share of the spread in total strokes gained (36%, 9,997 golfer-weeks, Aug 10, 2009 to Aug 9, 2017).

Only 2 editions, 311 golfer-weeks with strokes gained here, so the course-specific order is uncertain. The weights shown are tour-wide: Approach explains 36% of the spread in total strokes gained across 9,997 golfer-weeks.

Category	Share of the spread here	Tour-wide	Stands out
Approach	31%	36%	No
Putting	33%	31%	No
Off the tee	23%	18%	No

Stored PGA Tour strokes gained through August 9, 2017. Wind and weather data are not available for golf courses.

What mattered here describes past editions; it is not a validated predictor.
